day 19 - something you miss

oh, wow. what a loaded question. in no particular order:
my memory, being skinny, msu pom, being with my friends all day long, stressless christmases that didn't involve bad feeling, fbc youth group, riding horses every weekend, being able to hang, skipping class, visiting my boyfriend in LA, my cat cookie and my dog nellie, my sisters (remember the email! you know, kind of like remember the alamo!), spring break, lost friendships, abercrombie and fitch's kid jeans, sleeping in, my grandfathers, and being called by any of my college nicknames.

nice segue, huh? i'm awesome that way.
my nicknames are very special to me. no one here knows them. it makes me sad.
certain friends use certain ones. very few actually call me by my given name.

kissey or just kiss
mckissack
little bit
lil frien
tiny one
little lauren

the meaning of my blog name is 2-part.

well, i always loved hello kitty. we used to stick those stickers and color those coloring books until our crayons fell apart. the pencils, the pencil tins, the gum, the stickers, the different characters - it was heaven.

i didn't come up with this design. please don't sue me.

in college, my bff and sorority big sis started the trend of calling me by my last name, and it really stuck. eventually, it got shortened to kissey. i really really really miss my nicknames and people using them.

so hello kitty became hello kissey. yes, i'm clever.

what's in a name?

i'm so so so happy and proud that ben graduated law school (with honors!), passed the bar exam and got sworn in to the mississippi courts. but i really don't like the name "the esquire." it just hasn't grown on me like "the law student" did. i guess it partly makes sense--he was the law student for much longer than he's been "the law graduate" or "the esquire." but aren't you technically always a student of the law? i mean, you never really stop learning--there are always new cases to read and new things to learn, so maybe i could still refer to him as "the law student." i don't know. nevertheless, i'm still ambivalent about his current title here on the blog.

so, any thoughts? what say ye, blog readers, followers and creepers?
